Rio Ferdinard, a former footballer and pundit, has advised Manchester United on three players to sign ahead of the summer transfer window, which opens in July.
Ferdinard wants the Red Devils to sign a center-back, right-winger, and striker.
In the case of the striker, it appears Ferdinard already has a target in mind and has urged United to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
This comes after Kane announced his intention to leave Tottenham, citing the club’s failure to win a league title.
He has been linked with a move to Manchester City, who are looking for a replacement for Sergio Aguero, who is set to join Barcelona in July.
“They [Manchester United] need to recruit well in the right areas in this window,” Ferdinand told Goal.
“I believe they require a center-back, a right-winger, and possibly a center-forward.”
When asked about a possible move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Ferdinand replied, “It would be nice, wouldn’t it?”
Chelsea is also interested in signing him this summer and will make a move.
With Antonio Conte set to take over at Tottenham, there are indications that Kane will remain at the club.
